At WAFROEX, we believe meaningful partnerships can drive innovation, empower communities, and protect the environment. One of our proudest collaborations is with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), where we’ve helped introduce smart beekeeping technologies to the next generation of agricultural leaders.
As part of this initiative, we built functional beehives on the university campus, designed not only for honey production but also as living educational tools. These hives are equipped with temperature and colony monitoring technology, allowing students and researchers to track hive health and productivity in real-time. The goal: to promote data-driven, sustainable apiculture.
FUNAAB X WAFROEX

Why It Matters:
The FUNAAB hives serve as a research hub where students can study pollinator behavior, colony health, and hive maintenance hands-on — all while contributing to environmental impact studies. Our collaboration helps bridge the gap between theory and practice, and supports a green campus vision that places sustainability at the core of agricultural learning.
